Ellie Jane Goulding born 30th December, 1986 in Hereford England. Her mother Tracey Goulding-Summers worked at the supermarket, while the father Arthur Goulding was a member of an undertaker's family. Goulding came into the world in 2000. Her sisters are, Isabel and Jordan. The brother of her is Alex. Alex and her brother are an accomplished bassist and Hereford band members. When she was a child she was encouraged to pursue a career in music by her mom. The clarinet was her first instrument when she turned nine. At 14, she started to compose her first songs, but she did not take up songwriting seriously until her college days. Goulding was intrigued by electronic and dance music as she took classes. Through MySpace she got in touch with the record producer Frankmusik and with his help she created her kind of folktronica. Jamie Lillywhite noticed her and became her manager. In the following years, he was asked to take over the duties as A.&R in a talent contest. Lillywhite introduced her to Starsmith the music production company who was instrumental in her release on November 15, 2009 of her debut single, Under the Sheets.
