Ellie Jane Goulding born 30th December, 1986 in Hereford England. Her mother Tracey Goulding-Summers worked at the supermarket, while the father Arthur Goulding was a member of an undertaker's family. Goulding came into the world in 2000. Her sisters are, Isabel and Jordan. The brother of her is Alex. Alex and her brother are an accomplished bassist and Hereford band members. When she was a child she was encouraged to pursue a career in music by her mom. The clarinet was her first instrument when she turned nine. At 14, she started to compose her first songs, but she did not take up songwriting seriously until her college days. Goulding was intrigued by electronic and dance music as she took classes.
